Santino offers both individual lessons as well as group sessions to all age groups for both Guitar and Vocals. As a personal tutor, Santino checks technique and progression. He tries to eliminate bad habits to ensure the correct foundation is laid from the outset. He can teach using both music scores and Rote (playing by ear) methods to encourage all abilities to learn the instruments they desire.
Santino tutors both Classical and Acoustic Guitar to students from beginners onwards using a classical foundation, to ensure the correct technique and theory is applied for development and progression.

Santino offers topical music workshops that are aimed at both Primary and Secondary Schools. The workshops interact with the children and culminate in a performance. He has enjoyed success in Islington Schools in North London, performing to mainstream schools, pupil referral units and children with mental and physical disabilities.

Q. How much does Santino charge for a lesson and for how long?
A. Santino offers 30 or 60 minute lessons. Prices will vary depending on the location of the student’s lesson whether in their home or Santino’s. Prices start at £20 for a 30 minute session. For a quote please contact Santino.

Q. Do I need any previous knowledge of music? Or be able to read music?
A. No, any previous instruments played or knowledge of music will help but is not necessary.
Q. What is expected of the student?
A. It’s important for students to practice the material they learn in his sessions but to also actively research artists that they admire, to broaden their horizons. By watching other performers they can get a better understanding of the instrument and what is possible to achieve with hard work and dedication.

Q. Do I need to bring a Guitar?
A. Ideally yes as it helps to learn and practice on the same guitar, but Santino does have a couple of Guitars that can be used in the lesson.
Q. What will I learn in a course of lessons?
A. It all depends on what level you are at. If you are a beginner you will be taught the correct way to hold and tune your guitar; the fundamentals of music in application to the Classical and Acoustic guitar; how to read and understand musical score; how to practice the guitar; how to fingerpick, strum and play several songs; how to play chords; you will learn to how to develop your inner ear (listening skills through music). All lessons can be catered to your needs and requirements.
